ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
It is with a deep sense of admiration and appreciation that I record my indebtedness to all the scholars going all the way back to Panini who himself mentions a number of his Indian predecessors in his Ashtadhyayi, the first and foremost work on the Science of Linguistics the knowledge contained within which gave birth to the Science of Indo-European Linguistics. Words fail me when I attempt to express my gratefulness to Jana K. Kumar, and to our children Shauna Lauree, Deena Shakila, and Ravi Vasanthraj kumar to whom this work is lovingly dedicated. May it never be forgotten that their own contribution in numerous kind ways and manners, their encouragement and sacrifice for the sake of the present author's endeavor has helped a people, the Indians, indeed, the world of the Indo-European speakers to fully and correctly realize and bring into focus their great heritage as we enter the Third Millennium.
