He Reached from on High and Took me
 

I am aged 65 years. For the last three years I have been suffering from cervical spondilitis, unable to turn my neck and was ordered by the doctor to wear a collar. On Saturday, November 28, 1998, while praising God at the Potta Ashram Service, I felt a waft of cool breeze around me. At that moment Fr Kanichery declared that one who was suffering from spondilitis was healed. I was indeed healed perfectly! Moreover, at a retreat in Shaktan Tamburan Nagar, a big boil on my leg was healed in a moment! Praise you Jesus! Thank you Jesus! "O Lord, you have searched me and known me, you know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away" (Ps 139:1,2).

"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven" (Jam 5:15).

I was sick for eight years. It all began with a fit of trembling and weakness in the left arm. Expert medical check up revealed that the nerves of the brain were deteriorating. I became totally bed-ridden, lost my power of speech but got it back partially through medication. After still more treatment, the doctors pronounced I was beyond redemption. Persuaded by others, I went to Divine for the special retreat for the sick. On the 23rd, during the Holy Hour I got up and walked without any one's help. Thank you Jesus!!

From my childhood, that is, from the age of 9 years, I started to smoke. At that time I felt very proud of myself thinking there was nothing better than that. In 1992 when I attended a retreat at Divine Retreat Centre, Muringoor, I surrendered my habit of smoking to Jesus. After that till this very day I have never been tempted to smoke, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Before I had tried several times but could never stop it even through medical advice.

Now I am happy about it and I thank and praise Jesus, because only through him could I get rid of my bad habit.
