  The constant back pain I had was the effect of osteo arthritis, the disease that wasted away my backbone. All kinds of treatment were tried. There would be no perfect cure, said the doctors. In April 1997 I went to Divine for a retreat. On the very first day, Fr Panackal mentioned my name and announced during Holy Mass that Jesus had healed me. On the second day during the Holy Hour, I was gazing at the Sacred Host in the closed- circuit T V. The face of Jesus in the picture behind the altar was clearly visible. I looked into those eyes and said, "I don't like to look at your lifeless, motionless eyes"' and closed my eyes. I did the same on the next day. And then I heard a voice, "All the same, just give a look." I looked at the eyes of Jesus in the picture. The eyelids moved, the head inclined forwards a little and the eyes opened and closed twice. Tears of joy kept pouring down my cheeks. Perhaps this was a trick of the camera I thought. If Father would make an announcement to this effect, I shall believe, I said to myself like a doubting Thomas. Immediately came Father Panackal's voice, "Jesus is revealing his presence to some by means of external signs." I believed without a shade of doubt for "with God all things are possible"(Mt 19:26).
 
After the retreat an X-ray of the backbone revealed I was healed fully. Praise you Jesus! Thank you Jesus!
