This is an individual disease. If you drink you will be destroyed. And so will your family members and others The whole world will hate you. Companions will desert you. To curse society then is of no use whatsoever.
The alcoholic becomes vulnerable
to the "sulath" that it bestows on the addict. No one can predict in the
beginning how much the alcoholic will drink. The more he drinks, the greater
is his desire and excitement, specially in the company of friends who encourage
this excitement... The physical operations of his body are out of gear.
The possibility of death due to pancreastitis increases by 50 percent.
Good social conditions are destroyed. There is no specific remedy for drinking.
The best remedy is never to begin drinking for any reason whatsoever. Here
is where parents have to be careful; where teachers have to set the example.
Alcoholic teachers are a curse to the nation.

Most of the day to day accidents
are caused by drivers who are drunk. According to the latest national survey,
Kerala is the state which has the maximum number of road accidents. Students
and youngsters form 90% of those who ride scooters and motor cycles. Their
antics in an intoxicated state, cause great harm to others. The financial
loss incurred through road accidents is immense. We have read about the
loss of lives from plane crashes caused by drunken pilots. on January Ist
1992, the plane Emperor Ashoka, bound for London, took off from Bombay
only to crash into the sea, destroying hundreds of passengers because the
pilot had celebrated New Year on the previous night!! What a great amount
of money has been wasted by motor accidents!
