Six Areas where Salvation Is Necessary

Fr Jose Vettiankal V C

1 The Body: Physical illness is caused by germs. Bodily pain, can occur also because of diabolical attacks. The physical ailment of Job was because of diabolical affliction. Several diseases are cured with medicine. There are, however, diseases that cannot be healed by the physician. They are healed by prayer. Jesus Christ can heal those who are fatally ill. The word of God has the power to heal us. "For neither herb nor poultice cured them, but it was your word, O Lord, that heals all people"(Wis 16:12).

2 The Soul: Man has a soul as well as a body. The soul can be ill just like the body. The cause of illness of the soul is sin. There is no natural remedy for this. When we repent and give up sin and pray, we attain liberation.

3 The mind: Just as the body and soul can be sick, the mind too can become ill. When we pray in the name of Jesus, we obtain inner healing.

4 The family: The first miracle Jesus performed was in a household. He changed water into wine (cf Jn 2:1-11) and saved that family from disgrace. Let us surrender all our family problems to Jesus. He will save our families.

5 Wealth: wealth is a gift from God. Only when God gives wealth as a free gift, do we obtain it. We do not necessarily become wealthy because we work hard. If there is no liberation and blessing in the economic sphere, our debts cannot be cleared. There will not be any savings. Through the prayer for liberation from attachment to wealth, our bondage in this area is broken.

6 Diabolic bondage: Command the powers of darkness to go out by seeking the authority of Christ's holy name, the power of his blood and the protection of the holy cross. Pray immediately to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Satanic bonds will then be severed.

The Master key of forgiving love

Using the masterkey God himself has given us, we can obtain any favour we wish from Our Lord. Forgiving love is this great gift. It widens the scope of the old precept-love your neighbour as yourself. Jesus says, "Love one another as I have loved you"(Jn 13:34).There are four aspects of the love Jesus has for us.

1 Jesus makes Peter who had denied him, the head of the Church. That is, he gives the first place to those who had denied him.

2 Though Judas betrayed him and deceived him he embraced Judas and called him "Friend".

3 He goes seeking the disciples who had forsaken him and were heading for Emmaus. He speaks to them and walks with them though they had not believed him and doubted him. After that he breaks bread for them. See the love that seeks and finds those who have given him up and brings them back to the experience of salvation.

4 Jesus, dying on the cross, prays for those who are persecuting him and thus gives us the supreme example of love for enemies. The perfect aspect of forgiveness is seen when an undeserving person is given what he does not deserve, at the moment he does not deserve it.
