The Wonder of his
Mercy!
For 20 years we kept hoping
–for the joy of parenthood. To hold a child in our arms and call it our
own. For 13 years my wife consulted many doctors, underwent surgery and
treatment. But it was to no avail. In this state of disappoinment, my wife
suggested I make a retreat. I, who had no faith in retreats, suddenly made
up my mind and in January 1992 we went to Divine. I just managed to go
through the first four days. On the day of inner healing, I remembered
all whom I had to forgive and asked their forgiveness in the name of Jesus.
As I stood with a repentant heart, Fr Panackal quoted a word of God, "Happy
are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered" (Ps
32:1). At that moment I felt a heavy burden of sin being removed from my
heart. I began weeping with joy. In the midst of praises that rent the
air, Father again announced: "Here is Jesus touching Francis". I was enjoying
a face to face vision of Jesus at that moment.
After that my wife and I
started going together for retreats and conventions. I was inspired to
wind up my business and I began to serve Divine as a counsellor. At other
times I shared the word of God and participated in group prayer. Thus it
was full time work. As if to show his approval, the Lord blessed us with
a baby in November 1998. My wife had conceived at a time, when for three
years, she had stopped taking any medicine whatsoever.

My name is Kety P. Makharia.
I am staying at Vivar in Mumbai.. In July 1998 I went to Chicago, USA.
I am a heart patient, suffering from angina. All my relatives and friends
were worried about me and all of them advised me not to go. My in-laws
are there and they sponsored me.I have tremendous faith in God. I prayed
to Jesus and asked him to help me through the prayers of those at Potta
Ashram and Divine Retreat Centre during my stay in Mumbai. Daily I kept
thinking of his power shown at Divine Retreat Centre and the Lord helped
me. I had no heart pain or discomfort. I was hale and hearty. I enjoyed
myself a lot and came back to my home safe and sound. Praise you Jesus.
