God the Fount of
Wisdom
I did all my High School
in Nilgris where I did not have to study Hindi or Malayalam. But back in
my hometown to do my PDC, I had to struggle with Malayalam and this was
a source of much difficulty for me.
It was time for the public
examination. Fr Antony Payappilly was preaching a retreat in the forane
church in Mundakayam. Since there was no exam to answer in the afternoon,
I attended the retreat and on free days attended all the sessions. I used
to pray thus: "Be with me Lord during my exam. Send your Spirit and enlighten
my mind and intellect to write the correct answers. I promise to use all
the knowledge, ability and success I shall get for your glory and praise.
Wash and cleanse my answer paper with your precious blood and give me the
marks necessary for a pass." I said this prayer not only for myself but
also on behalf of every other student. Moreover, I sat up at night to read
the Bible and to pray for mercy.
"A girl in this group is
blessed by God to procure excellent marks and secure a brilliant pass,"
announced Fr Payappally during the retreat at the Holy Hour. I did not
for a moment think it could be I. When the results were out I passed with
the 2nd rank. I have no words with which to thank Jesus. Praise you Jesus.
Thank you Jesus!

I would not possess wisdom unless God gave her to me" (Wis 8:21)
