A Wayside Banquet

"I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications" (Ps 116:1)

It was on 10th March 1998 that my back pain started. I could not lie or sit down or stand. Three days’ medicine only increased the pain. On the 15th I went to Tellicherry to see the doctor. He said the spine discs were getting displaced. Hence the pain. Two weeks of hospitalisation gave me some relief but the pain persisted. I made my way back to the convent with the medicines prescribed. On the way I stopped at another convent at Gonkuppa to take some rest. There I heard the Potta team was due for a retreat. I decided to take part in it despite the difficult circumstances.

On the very first day Fr John announced that seven people with spinal trouble were healed. I was one of them. But I refused to believe it. That evening a sister asked me whether I could sit on the floor. I found I had no difficulty whatsoever to sit or stand. The Lord had healed me completely. God be praised! I gave my testimony on the 2nd day of the retreat. No medicine, or wearing of the belt was necessary any more. I tasted and saw how good the Lord is!

About 10 years ago I had to be on traction in the hospital for pain in the neck. Wearing a collar became a must. The Lord now healed me of this complaint too. Praise you Jesus! Thank you Jesus!

May I with joy and thankfulness testify to the great mercy and blessings that flowed into my life. I am 40 years old now. When I was 17, I began to be plagued with suffocation and allergy. Doctors’ medicines of various types proved futile. I realised no physician on earth could heal me. I surrendered all my sickness to the Lord. Moreover, I went to Potta Ashram every week and prayed for the sick. After about 6 months, as Father was praying for the sick, he announced that Jesus was healing someone suffering from suffocation and allergy. That very moment I was relieved of these ailments. I have never had any trouble afterwards.
