I Called upon God and He Answered Me
 

In July 1993 I had a bad attack of pain in my back. I was then 62 years old. Two weeks of allopathy treatment did not give any relief. I then went to Kottayam for ayurvedic treatment but after a week’s medication there, I was paralysed waist down. I then moved about in a wheel chair. My next trip was to Lizzy hospital where the doctor failed to diagnose my illness. They sent me to Sree Chitra Medical Centre where a scan revealed I had cancer of the spine. I did not know what to do. Back home, I opened the Bible for a message from God. The verse,

"What is impossible for mortals is possible for God"(Lk 18:27) gave me courage. I surrendered all my illness to God and prayed earnestly. Others too prayed for me. Prayer groups came to pray over me. The Lord showed me the scene where the paralytic was healed. After a week’s tests and diagnosis by the neuro surgeon I was operated on. It was a tumour and not cancer! The verdict of the doctor was a miracle. Radiation followed and I was eventually able to walk about with the help of a stick. After a retreat at Divine, I discarded the stick. Then followed more retreats at Ezhumuttam and Vazhakulam. By December 1994 I was able to walk more or less well. Tests revealed there was no sign of the disease.

" Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mk 11:24).

I believed in these words of Jesus and prayed hard. And God heard my prayer, touched me and healed me. Thank you Jesus!
