As I have surrendered my whole being to the Lord, he showed me the path to follow. For 11 years I suffered from back pain which I never took seriously. From 1991 onwards the back pain was very severe, and I was unable to move about freely or take even one step forward. During this crisis of pain I had been to several Orthopeadic and Neurology specialists. All the doctors advised a Mylogram which was a bit of a risk. Yet with the power of God and my will power I was carrying on with all my duties.

In 1996 March I was admitted at St. Teresa’s Hospital in Secunderbad for two weeks for traction and physiotherapy which didn't give me any relief. Lastly the doctors advised me to do an MRI test, which may require a spine surgery and six months complete bed rest.

In the first week of April 1996 there was a Bible Convention conducted by the Potta team in Guntur district. Just before the prayer meeting I had a chance of being counselled by Mr Jose. While praying over me, he had a vision, "Our Lord is holding in his hands two iron rods and placing them in your back", he said. Then he asked me to attend the prayer meeting for 3 days, also to attend the retreat at Potta for one week. On 3rd May 1996 we began our journey to Potta. During the healing service I received inner healing - powerful spiritual blessings . Twice I felt a cooling sensation all over my body afflicted by severe pain and numbness. In November ‘97 I went to Madras for an MRI test to Ramchandera Medical college, Porur, Madras. The doctors after seeing the MRI X-ray, advised immediate spine surgery, otherwise at any moment I could be paralysed. The expense of the surgery they said would be about Rs. 50,000/-. Luckily the director of the hospital, Mr Udayar was Mother Teresa’s friend. Two years before, he had promised Mother to give free treatment to the sisters whenever necessary. But it was not easy to meet Mr Udayar. Almost 8 days were over. On 22nd November ‘97 during the Holy hour I told Jesus please to make arrangements to meet Mr Udayar if he wanted me to work for his kingdom, for the benefit of the society and the region and, above all, for the sanctification of my own soul. Adoration was over at 7.30 pm. At 7.50 pm came a phone call from Mr. Udayar, saying that all the hospital needs of my treatment and the expenses would be seen to. I had only to meet the RMO.

On 26th November ‘97, in the operation theatre under anesthesia I kept praying till I lost consciousness, "Jesus I Love you, Jesus I trust you", the last prayer of the late Mother Teresa. The operation was sucessful. Jesus helped me to walk on the 5th day after the operation. To replace the part of the spine which was removed, no artificial material was available. I believe Jesus placed his own iron rods in my back as Mr Jose had seen in the vision. This is an everlasting support to me.
