But do not forget one thing, my dear friends! There is no difference in the Lord's sight between one day and a thousand years; to him the two are the same. The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised" (2 Pet 3:8-9)

LET ALL IN HIS TEMPLE SAY "GLORY!"

I was in the company of some nuns on a train headed for my native town in Kerala. One of them was constantly singing the song, "Thirunamakeerthanam paaduvanallenkil navenikenthinu natha?" ("Lord, what is my tongue for, if not to sing the praise of your holy name?"). I was intrigued. The sister explained that, surgery for a throat ailment had resulted in the loss of her voice but after a retreat at Divine she regained it. Shold she not then keep praising her Lord with her voice all the time? That aroused my curiosity. The next year, that is, in 1995 I went to Divine incognito. Once there, the services, the discipline maintained among the thousands of people without any military or police supervision, the proclamation of the word and the miracles began melting my heardened heart. Often I burst into tears during Praise and Worship. Jesus was very close to me and I was filled with his healing and forgiving grace.

Back home, people were astounded at the change in me, a Junior Commissioned Officer who had served in the army for 24 years. I gave up alcohol totally. When problems come up, Jesus leads me through his word and his Spirit. When obliged to go to the club I am able to raise the glass for soft drinks when all the others raise theirs for liquor. This has become possible only through the grace of Jesus. I am never tired sharing the peace and joy he gave me with others. Now I have only one prayer.
"Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that I need, or I shall be full, and deny you, and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I shall be poor, and steal, and profane the name of my God" (Prov 30:8-9).
