In the year 1989, there occured a quarrel between our family and our neighbours on a land dispute, resulting in bloodshed and a criminal case. It also resulted in bitter hatred and revengeful actions by both sides. I started gathering witnesses and ideas. My intension was to send my enemies to jail. In the year 1995, I started attending the Holy Mass daily and participated in a retreat conducted at Vinayalaya, Chakala, Mumbai. I had not read the Bible seriously before that period. Now I started reading it. Day by day, I realised that I was not living a true Christian life in the way Jesus taught us. I really felt ashamed and wept when I looked back and reflected on my past. After eight years, I made a good confession. I also attended the retreats at Kalyan and other places, conducted by the Fathers from Potta. I asked the forgiveness of Lord Jesus and also forgave my neighbours. I dismissed all the wicked ideas from my mind and prayed the Lord Jesus would cause a compromise or dismiss our case. To my sudden surprise, in the year 1996, the case filed against us by our neighbours was dismissed. Now our neighbours also came forward to compromise in the case filed by us against them and we did so.
I thank you, Jesus for the above and other favours granted. Now I have realised that Lord Jesus guides each and every step I take. Thank you Lord.
