When I Called to him Earnestly...

It was a rainy winter evening, my husband was out of station and I was busy in the kitchen. My one year-old daughter Saumya was suffering from fever and chest congestion. The girl who was looking after Saumya came to me crying and said, "Aunty, look! What has happened to Saumya". The child’s eyes had rolled up, the face was distorted, the limbs twisted and she had gone completely stiff. In medical terms, she had a convulsion. Immediately I took her in my arms and ran to the bed room calling out to Jesus from the depth of my heart. My elder daughter, Simi and the servant girl joined me. We prayed to Jesus with full confidence and started thanking and praising him. Suddenly I had an idea- as if it were told to me by Jesus-to put my mouth to the child’s nostrils and blow in. I did it and at once the child began to revive. She moved in my arms and her face and limbs became normal. An inner voice asked me, "Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believed?" We started thanking and praising and singing loudly amidst tears of joy. We believed that the Almighty had cured our child completely. When my husband returned, we took the child to the doctor and he said that she was perfectly all right. A few months after this when Saumya was sitting in the toilet, her intestines came out nearly three inches. On praying to Jesus with confidence she was cured of this also. While we were thanking and praising him, my husband just pushed it in, listening to the inner voice. Saumya is two and a half years-old now and she is an intelligent and active child.

Thank you Jesus for revealing your glory to us - unworthy sinners. We will sing your praises forever for you are the only one in whom we place our trust!
