On Holy Thursday after the liturgical services and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, I went to bed around 11pm. I was overtired from my journey from Bangalore to Hyderabad that morning and fell asleep very fast. At about 3 am, I heard some one pushing my door. I was shocked to see the door open forcibly and 4 men coming towards my bed. They bent down towards me and were trying to close my mouth. I shouted with all my strength, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus", continually with closed eyes. I do not know what happend after that. I was let down, safely and mysteriously and placed under the cot, untouched and unharmed. It was Jesus who carried me down and covered me out of the sight of those 4 men. It was a miracle, the power in the name of Jesus!
The sisters heard my cry and switched on the light. One of them came to my window and enquired what happend to me. I told her, "thief". She was frightened and called to the other sisters but their doors were bolted from outside by the miscreants.
I do not know when these men left the room. Sister found me standing eyes closed, shivering and repeating the name of Jesus in a feeble voice. I experienced God’s power in a tangible way. I am an unworthy servant for such a great favour. There is greater meaning in my life and in the daily liturgical celebrations now. "Blessed is he who has regard for the weak, the Lord delivers him in times of trouble" (Ps 41:1)
