I would like to relate the miracle that God worked for me in July '96. One fine morning, when I woke up, I experienced some pain in my stomach. Thinking it was the usual pain, I took no heed, but after a few hours realised that I could not move and therefore opted to take a day off from work. The pain did not seem to decline but on the contrary, it became worse, and did not allow me to move, sit or stand. This went on till afternoon. I was given medicines prepared at home-presuming that this would give me some relief. The pain continued for the next five hours. When my sister saw my condition was getting from bad to worse, she opened the Bible and read a chapter from there. While she was reading it, I did not know when I fell asleep and for the next couple of hours slept peacefully.

Evening came but my condition did not seem to improve much. I was then taken to the doctor who advised that I should get an ultrasound done. On the same day there was a charismatic retreat being conducted by Fr John Kizhekkevittil and Fr Tommy at St Thomas Church. With this pain I attended the retreat. After the retreat concluded, Fr John Kizhekkevittil prayed over me.

Tests were conducted after two days, but it only showed a mere shadow in the kidney. An x-ray was taken. The result showed that I had a series of around 12 stones in a row each measuring the size of a wheat grain. They were all in the tube that connected the kidney to the urinary bladder. The doctors put me on allopathic medicine and suggested that I should undergo surgery as soon as possible to remove these stones or else this pain would keep erupting time and again. The thought of undergoing an operation was very scary.

I was advised to take a lot of fluids. The following week, I had not even started taking my full course of medicine when God worked his miracle- I passed around 8-10 stones naturally. The doctors had warned me that all these stones could be removed once and for all, only through an operation or else, if the body decided to discard them naturally, every single stone that would come out, would cause tremendous pain. God is great, not one but all of them came out in a systematic manner without causing any pain or tension.

Praise the Lord! I did not have to undergo any surgery. Another test was conducted after a month and to my surprise there were no stones and no more shadows. The report was just perfect. Praise the Lord not once but again and again. This is only one miracle that I have made known. God has been doing his wonders to me and to my family every day.
