I Found My Healer
I was born in a very orthodox
Brahmin family. I married a Catholic boy. Barely a month later I went to
DRC. with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. I really did not want to
go . On the first day, I was extremely uneasy as everything was new to
me . I did not even know how to pray, let alone know who Jesus was. But
I did not miss even an hour of prayer or class and told myself something
strange was going on. While all the people were raising their hands and
praying, on the third day of the retreat, I told my mother-in-law I would
not believe in Jesus until and unless I had a personal experience. It was
in the same afternoon, while everyone was praising that I had a beautiful
vision of Lord Jesus standing in a green field, stretching out his hands
and smiling at me. I saw Lord Jesus clearly and started walking towards
him. But I was not getting any nearer. I started calling out " Come Jesus!
Come Jesus". I finally reached Lord Jesus who embraced me and I felt a
heavy weight leave my body. My mother -in-law and sister-in-law who were
kneeling on either side of me were very worried as they told me later that
my whole body was trembling from head to foot and that I was screaming
like a little child "Come Jesus, come Jesus" and that I had lost consciousness
for a while. At that moment I felt that Jesus was calling me to follow
him. I made up my mind immediately to be a Catholic. That was my first
experience in the year 1995. I should have published it before. Since I
delayed I feel that Jesus gave me one more test to believe in him. In March
1999, I was afflicted with very high temperature followed by a severe headache.
My husband rushed me to the hospital as he was very worried. When the results
of the medical tests were released I was found to have had meningitis along
with epilepsy. I had temporarily lost my memory. My husband immediatly
phoned his people in India (as we were in Oman )to contact the prayer tower
as I was at death’s door. The priest asked for my name and said ,"She will
be all right. " It was only through the prayers and divine intercesssion
that a miracle was performed in my life once again. Jesus showed me that
he wants me. I am able to give you this witness having been cured of my
meningitis miraculously. Thank you Jesus and praise you Jesus!
