We prepared ourselves for it. But God’s plan was otherwise. A seven-year-old child who was operated in the same week in which Linu’s operation was scheduled, passed away. This incident upset us badly. While we stood at the door of the operation theatre and showed the X-ray to the doctors, we prayed with all our heart and soul to Jesus. We decided if the operation was averted we would take him and go to Divine for a week’s retreat.

The results of the tests took us by surprise. The doctors decided there was no need of surgery.

"Happy are those to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit" (Ps.30:2).

Today Linu is nine years old. Smart and healthy, he is studying in Std V. Our Saviour Jesus Christ is holding him in the palm of his hand.

In 1994 during the retreat we attended, Fr. Panackal announced that Jesus was healing several people with intestinal problems and that Linu Mathew was being touched and blessed by him. After this retreat the child has not had any sickness whatsoever. Praise you Jesus, Thank you Jesus,adore you Jesus.
