His Love Is Infinite

I was in Std X doing well in my studies in Nirmala Bhavan English High School, Trivandrum when it happened. After the first term a sudden unbearable pain in my shoulder socket began troubling me. This was followed by acute pain in my finger joints. With an injection on the shoulder the pain doubled. No doctor, even those in Sri Chithira Medical Institute and the Medical College, could diagnose my illness. I switched on to Ayurvedic treatment. Nothing helped. The final medical verdict was that the nerve fibres were weakened. I next tried Sidha medicine. The bitterness of the medicine, caused vomiting. I was hospitalised and kept on drips. But the reaction gave me swelling on the hips. I could not walk by myself.

Because of the pain and medication, my studies were interrupted. The pain increased. A fall, when trying to walk alone, worsened the situation. Swelling and pain prevented the possibility of a plaster cast. Fingers began bending inwards. The nails were about to cut into the hollow of the palm. I even went with my parents to a psychiatrist. Weakening of the nerves was the verdict given.

Though I had to discontinue my studies I wanted to answer the examination. The education department allowed me to write the examination with the help of an assistant.

On the advice of my teachers and friends I went to the Divine. Leaning on the shoulders of my parents I used to go for a short while to the auditorium. The rest of the time I remained in the room following the talks on the closed circuit T.V. On the third day my mother and I were praying with eyes closed in the hall. Suddenly the woman next to me cried out, "Can’t you see, child? Your fingers are straightening". Only then did I realise I was being healed. There was instant commotion with loud weeping and praises of God. I wanted to get up, I told my mother. I stood up and began to walk with no difficulty whatsoever. The pain in the arm and the long-time red scar had disappeared.

I passed the SSLC with good marks and am now doing my Higher Secondary in Kochi. My teachers, companions and family join me in praising God for the great grace Jesus bestowed on me. Praise you Jesus!
