Club-Foot Straightened  
 
Our son was born club-footed. For two years we suffered, hoping for a cure. Three times he was hospitalised in Ernakulam with his feet put in plaster. There was not the slightest change. Surgery was the only way out, declared the doctor. We rejected the very idea and tried ayurvedic treatment with no effect whatsoever. Finally, we decided to go ahead with the operation. But on the date fixed, the child began running a temperature that would not leave him. It was only later that we realised that God had some other plan for our little boy.
 
Since surgery had to be postponed, we decided to go for a retreat to DRC and ask Fr Panackal to pray for its success. After praying for a while, Father said, "Please don't subject the child to an operation. Jesus will set his feet right." We instantly gave up the idea of surgery.
 
Since many family members did not have enough faith we took the child to a Kalari Health Centre. "Apply this oil continuously for three years; then come for the operation. The child is already two years old. It's an impossible case," pronounced the doctor. We abandoned every effort, pinned our faith fully on Jesus. We began praying daily for children with similar handicaps. Within three months we noticed the child's feet were improving. Within three more months both the feet became quite normal. Jesus had worked a great, great miracle. The faith of several people was strengthened with this healing he received from Jesus.   "The compassion of the Lord is for every living thing" (Sir 18:13).
