Raise a Song to the
Lord

I am Arockiasamy from Nilakkottai,
Tamilnadu. My wife and I were very much dejected and were constantly cursed
by the surrounding people for not having a child even after 5 1/2 years
of marriage. My wife and I had very many physical complications. Doctors
advised me to undergo a major surgery for rectification. Then, too, doctors
were not sure of the possibility of my having a child. I did not go in
for surgery. My wife Cecilia, also developed complications and underwent
laproscopic surgery. But that proved futile. On the advice of a religious
sister and from the encouragement we got from reading Vachanotsavam, we
attended a retreat at DRC in March 1995 in the Tamil section. The counsellor
prayed over my wife and gave Dan. 7:14 as the promise of God for us. My
wife also got an electric shock-like experience during the Holy Mass in
her womb. The counsellor promised that my wife would conceive before July
1995. But God's graces were so abundant that my wife conceived in April
1995 itself, hardly two months after attending the retreat. Our merciful
Lord showered his wondrous blessings by giving us twin babies. We were
among the first ones to attend the retreat at DRC from Tamilnadu. We now
have a third child also. Praise you Jesus! Thank you Jesus!
