Great is Your Mercy,
O Lord
I am Agnes Louis. For ten
years I was afflicted with diabetes. In 1996 I was admitted in the hospital
for pneumonia. The illness became so serious that I had to undergo a major
operation and then for two months and a half I stayed on in the hospital
to be treated for jaundice. There appeared a big lump on the back of the
neck. I was reduced to just 35 kg. In the midst of intense pain my friends
suggested that I go to D.R.C, Muringoor and pray. On the way to Kerala
my illness took a turn for the worse and I had to be admitted in the Medical
Trust Hospital at Ernakulam. An MRI scan revealed that I had to be operated
on for the lump on the neck. The doctor advised me not to waste time going
for a retreat but to fly back to Bangalore for the major surgery. On the
way back I stopped at Potta and prayed. On the advice of Fr. John Kanichery,
I took part in the retreat at Muringoor along with my family. I put all
my trust in Jesus and ate the food served in the Divine. I participated
in the retreat fully prostrate in bed. During the time of praise and worship
I began to feel strengthened physically and the trembling of the fingers
ceased. At the healing session, Father Panackal announced that two people
were cured of diseases connected with the back bone. I had some relief
and had to continue with medication. But no one could diagnose my illness.
It must be bone tuberculosis or cancer-that was everyone’s guess. Before
returning to Bangalore I went to see the neuro- surgeon at Mother Hospital.
It was confirmed that I had bone TB. One more month in the hospital and
then suddenly I began to experience healing. Back in Bangalore I was able
to resume duty on September 25th 1998. I am perfectly all right now. It
was the power of God that healed me of this deadly disease. Thank you,
