Wait for the Miracle to Happen     "For neither herb nor poultice cured them, but it was your word, O Lord, that heals all people" (Wis 16:12).    
For the last 25 years I have been staying in Bombay with my family and with a responsible job in a public limited company. In December 1992, I became a diabetic patient. The very first report indicated that I was suffering from acute diabetes and my sugar level was as high as 420. For the next two years I was under strict medication. In October 1994 I attended, along with my family, a residential retreat at DRC, Muringoor. Lord Jesus gave me an opportunity to witness many miracles that increased my faith in him.
 
At a healing service during a retreat conducted by Rev Fr Mathew Naickomparambil in December 1994,I heard the testimony of a man who was cured from acute diabetes because of the prayer of his wife. If Jesus could cure such a serious case, why can't he have mercy on me and free me from diabetes once and forever? I thought to myself. Knowing fully well that diabetes is a hereditary disease and since many members of my family were already suffering from the same, I was quite sure that a miracle was required to heal me. At that time I remembered Fr Augustine Vallooran's words: "To solve your problem if you think a miracle is required, wait for the miracle to happen. Lord Jesus will definitely do it."
 
I prayed to Jesus and returned home peacefully without knowing what had happened to me. After one month, a routine check up showed that my sugar level was below normal. I discontinued taking the tablets.
 
For the last three years with the grace of our Lord, I have been living a normal life absolutely free from diabetes without any medicine or dieting."
