After-effects of
Meningitis Healed
Our six-month -old son contracted
meningitis. After three months in the hospital, he escaped from the clutches
of death. But he had lost his sight and hearing. He could neither laugh
nor cry. It was a mass of flesh that we took home from the hospital.
"The brain nerves are damaged
permanently. So do not hope for recovery." This was the doctors' verdict.
We took the child to a neurologist in Bangalore. He promised to make a
try with a brain operation after a month. In the meanwhile we took part
in the Bible Convention at Potta in February 1997, surrendered to Jesus
our boy whom medical expertise had given up. One of those days we took
the child to be prayed over by Fr Mathew Naikomparambil, Fr Mathew Elavunkal
and Fr John Kanichery.
Now, thanks to Jesus, he
cries laughs, lifts up his head. By God's great mercy, he can see and hear!

be imposible with God" (Lk 1:37)
