The Power of God's Word   "Confirm to your servant your promise, which is for those who fear you" (Ps 119:38)    
The living God touched me when I attended a retreat at Coimbatore conducted by Fr Kuriakose Punolil and his team. I was suffering from a swelling in the armpit that caused acute pain. While returning home after the first day of the retreat, the swelling burst and pus started oozing. The next day Father announced that Jesus was healing a girl whose armpit swelling had burst. I could not believe that Jesus was healing me. As if to clear my doubts, on the third day Father once again announced the same healing. I was surprised but failed to give testimony as I needed proof that I was touched by Christ Jesus.
 
A week later the doctor who was treating me said that it might require surgery if the lesion did not heal within a fortnight. I was asked to consult a surgeon who suggested that a biopsy be done before getting operated on. He asked us to wait for another 15 days. During this time, the lesion became smaller and smaller and the pain subsided. When we finally consulted the doctor he said that everything was fine and that there was no need for biopsy or surgery. I was extremely happy. I now believe that Jesus had indeed touched me and healed me. This is to give testimony of God's love for his people. The scar is now a reminder of God's healing touch. I praise and thank you, Lord Jesus.
